The full moon changed our moods.

So this week Gail my Scottish twin and I set out to have a week off the drink. It seems all I am doing here is working a few days, drinking my wages and day dreaming. I need to sort myself out.. I just want to be swept off my feet!

Sober week started with my work trial at a cafe  called White Elephant, it was pretty chaotic, they were not organised and the 3 hours did go really fast but after that I was picked up by Gail and Karine for an adventure to see what else was in Margaret River, we ended up wine, cheese, Venison and chocolate tasting before having a swim.

Tuesday was an amazing afternoon spent with a few girls from Bootleg, we found an awesome spot on the river and swam around 100m up to a rope swing where we spent the afternoon gossiping, swinging and giving ourselves mud facials!

Thursday came along and after serving a charming group of Irish men of the Granddad type beers all day I was well ready to get my body loaded with alcohol so off we went, pre drinks at a friends then to the Tav, it was a laugh to be wearing green, Irish  paraphernalia and drinking Guinness! The photos below will show just how happy we all were!

Friday came and work went then I was being driven to fro so I downed a few beers and was ready for a party but was disappointed go learn no one else was! So early dinner at the pub with Za and Adrian and then to bed for me ..  a week of no drinking was totally a fail. Even Gail turned me down.. oh how sensible she is!..  or was.

Working at a brewery I find it so hard not to crave beer all day!  So when 6:30pm rolls around and then the free staffie is consumed it was not hard to twist anyone’s arm into heading to the Tav again,  a few of us from work met there and had a laugh playing our own Ghetto Blaster seeing as the band were pretty boring.. so respectful eh?  The Full Moon was in full force our moods were going from super excited to angry to sad.. at the end of our night I think both G Banger and I were crying into our Kebabs!

So this week was up down and all around, had so many laughs.  I am realising I need to get my act together and get some kind of future, but my day dreams are taking over, and I think I like it like that!

a lot has happened.

Since my last update I have lived a whole lot of my life. I pulled up my stockings and left New Zealand in a haze of excitement, total fear and running full speed from a lot of things.

I was lucky enough to have an amazing friend who took me under her wing and had a room ready for me . Her partner and her have been so amazing and I ow them so much I have no idea where to begin!

Arriving in this amazing part of the world was not a step into easy life, work here is hard to come by and is always on a casual basis, so for awhile I didn’t have a day off now I have plenty, which has worked out well so I can explore my surroundings a bit more.

Within a week or two of my arrival my second family were in Aus on holidays and it was just so timed that they were here for a week, it was just what I needed and seeing my bestie who  had moved to London was very cool, although is she was here now she would see and be part of the train wreck I am becoming!

Gradually I am meeting people, there are some fabulous people in this part of the world,  a lot of travellers and people here for seasonal work.  I myself am trying to gain a full time position so I can get on top of all my crap and make some plans, I would like to venture further abroad and see more sights.

Working at the Brewery has lead me to meet some fun and crazy people, it has also shown me how close minded  Australians can be (just my total judgement). I do really enjoy working here but having  gained a nickname of “Goon Twin”, me being one half and a Scott being the other I feel my time here may be coming to an end! I need to track down my class factor!! Having met  my other Goon Twin  through work who is just about as mad as me has allowed me to get the crazy wild animal in me loose. Although  silly things may have been said and done she is simply amazing! Such a laugh! She is also good for motivating me to go on a hike to find a waterfall – we didnt find a waterfall.. or sing Karaoke..   and more I will leave just as …’s!

anyways, enjoy a wee montage of the small amount of snaps I have after 4 months… my bad sorry.
