Summer has started to creep in! this makes me super happy!
I need to source myself a camera, my email on my phone is ridiculous and wont set up so I havent figured out a way to get my PXTs onto a comp, I miss my N95! I have been super busy lately, the above image was when my friend Kay and I went with her sister Amy and her flattie Gus to Long Bay for a late afternoon BBQ, it was a wee bit of a dilemma but had a ball, this was pre Unkown Pleasures at the Power Station which was pretty amazing, although it wasnt the same as Joy Division it was absolutely a gig that is one of those “I will remember for ever” ones.
So I have been sussing Perth, still waiting for my Passport and need that to book flights, having a wee bit of a panic attack over my work hours not being consistent at all, saving is extreeeeemly hard atm when my cost of living is so ridic! ugh!
I wrangled my way onto a door list for Wolf Gang and dragged Kay along – she was rather willing – and went and saw this band Wolf Gang, was pretty fun tbh and we had a blast, they had a really short set but they mingled with the crowd after and I joined a mailing list! haha,.. so maybe I was excited and had mixed a few kinds of drinks but i was ell behaved. .. ish.
Hopefully they come back and then can play a whole set, and maybe an encore! We were geared up for a big chaotic night to JI in with Ashton etc who has been at the VMA’s but think we found a sweet feed and went home!!
I went to Christchurch not the weekend just been but the previous and had a blast. I joined my cousin Ben who was also down there for work and we both stayed at my Uncle and Aunties in Sumner, was so nice, only really get to see them around Christmas time/family occasions so it was nice going there and just relaxing, got to hang with my cousins who are 9 and 7 and they were awesome, full of beans but pretty funny! I learnt, well was reinforced that I am absolutely my fathers daughter, heading out for a night with the Unc and Cuz, going pretty much drink for drink and also shot for shot I was the only coherent one on the ride home which was funny! I did sleep the whole 1 1/2 flight home on the plane! Wasnt to ideal!
My flattie Ashton was awesome enough to hook me up with a door list to The Naked and Famous /Kids of 88 gig at the Power Station this past Friday and Naomi and I had a blast, again I was on top form and really well-behaved! Haha! On Saturday the drinks started early with a few wines and Vodka Mules at my Aunties before a BYO where the salad we all had didn’t do much to soak up the wine! I think I kept my mouth shut and didn’t waaa too much about the ex to the girls (2 were his flatties) but I did feel rather sorry for myself on Sunday!
I am excited at the prospect of Emma visiting his weekend and my Mum and Aunty will be up and I love seeing them, also Shahny Shahn the brother is us so yaaay for family times.
I am fretting about having to find Digger a new home, I have grown to adore this black arogant SOB, and I feel he has grown the same! But I am unsure if the flatmates mind looking after him and if he will get the attention I would like to think he needs? Anyone want to babysit this sexy panther
